God’s Ministering Spirits Called Angels

In today’s world of darkness and evil everywhere you turn, we need to know what the Bible teaches about God’s ministering spirits called angels. Angels are God’s creation and they are ministering spirits for the church:

And of the angels he saith, who maketh his angels spirits, and

His ministers a flame of fire. (Heb 1:7)

Who maketh his angels spirits, his ministers a flaming fire. (Ps 104: 4)

So, we see that angels are ministering spirits for the church.  They don’t minister to us, they minister for us. Today, we have the Holy Spirit that ministers to us, but angels do fight and minister for us. In Psalm 91:11, the Bible declares that angels are given charge over every believer. Notice the scripture says angels NOT angel. This shows that every believer has at least two angels with them at all times for protection.

I must also add that angels not only follow you around, but they follow your children and loved ones around also. For everything that belongs to you is under that umbrella of protection. Not just you, but your household…isn’t that wonderful to know. The Lord protects everything that belongs to you because you know Him and seek Him.  He protects everything that belongs to you.

Angels Appear In Many Different Ways For the Church

Now, angels can appear to believers through visions, dreams, or in their heavenly body.  They can appear in a fleshly form where they look like a human. Here are a few scriptures for you to study on your own. You will be blessed as you go through God’s word and see that angels can appear and do appear to the saints of God.

They appear in dreams:

Gen 31:11

Matt 1:20

Matt 2:13

They appear in visions:

1 Chronicles  21:16

1 Chronicles 21:20

Acts 7:30

Acts 10: 2-4

They appear as a human in fleshly form:

Acts 12:13 – 15

Angels appear in their heavenly bodies:

Matt 28: 2, 3

Angels Go Before You and Fight Warfare

When a believer finds their calling (purpose) in life, the Lord assigns angels to go before you and prepare the path because our enemy, Satan, will fight you the whole way into your God-given purpose for life. Yes, every believer has a purpose in life and you find that purpose by fellowshipping with the Lord. As you minister to the Lord in prayer, He (the Holy Spirit) begins to reveal God’s plan and purpose to you.

Now as the Holy Spirit begins to reveal this purpose, you are commanded to step out in faith. I know it can be scary at times stepping out, but it is our job to trust the Lord and do whatever He has told us to do for Him. When I was called into Ministry, I thought there was no way I would be able to minister God’s word to others. But as we grow and learn to trust the Lord in all our ways, we begin to see that Jesus will never fail us.

Angels Minister For The Saints

As you step out in faith, that is when angels will be activated in your life and called to make a way even when there seems to be none. These angels are powerful, they are not weak as we see in Isa 37:36. Once you begin to move towards what God has called you to do, angels go before you and make a way of protection. Here are a few scriptures that will build your faith on this subject: Ex 14:19; Ex 23:23; Ex 33:2; Gen 24:40.

Go through these scriptures in your Bible and begin to see the promises of these angels, it will bless your life. The Bible says so much about angels and what they do for the church, so don’t stop looking into the subject of angels after reading this article.  I encourage you to go and do your own study on angels, and you will be blown away.

Prayer Activates Angels in the Life of a Believer

Do you remember in the book of Acts that one of the twelve disciples named James was beheaded by a wicked leader named Herod? Soon after he beheaded James, Herod saw that it pleased the people and was going to bring Peter out also (Acts 12:6).  The church prayed without ceasing for him and angels were activated for Peter’s life. For the Bible says that Herod was going to bring Peter out also, but right before he could, an angel released Peter from the prison (Acts 12: 1 – 8).

Prayer activates angels on your behalf.  Study this for yourself so faith comes alive in your heart and know that angels are for today. Here are some additional scriptures for you to study:

Angels study the church:

The Lord controls the actions of His angels:

2 Sam 24:16

Angels can discern between good and evil:

2 Sam 14:17

Angels have wisdom of the things of the earth:

2 Sam 14:20

Angels are limited; only God is limitless:

Mk 13:32

Angels called judgment on men in the Old Testament, but men full of the Holy Ghost in the New Testament call judgment on men:

Gen 19: 4 – 13

Acts 5: 3 -5

Acts 13: 10, 11

The Amazing Ministering Spirits of The Lord
