The Secret Place Pt 2 **PODCAST TRANSCRIPT

All right. Today we are going to continue this powerful teaching here on the secret place We started last week on Psalms chapter 91 verse 1, and I’m going to continue with this today and show you steps how you can stay free from satan’s plans to destroy your life, how you can stay protected, and how your whole family is protected when you stay in the secret place.

Last week we talked about how if you stay in the secret place of the Lord – which I showed you last week the secret place is the presence of Jesus – and as you continue to dwell in His presence, stay in His presence on a daily basis, that it protects you from satan’s plans against your life. Now I’m going to go ahead and read one more time Psalms chapter 91 verse 1 for you. And I hope you have your Bibles and something to write with and something to write on because you are going to want to take notes. And my prayer is that you’d go back and do even a deeper study for yourself. Do it for yourself. Do it for the protection of your children. Because faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word. So, as I minister the word to you, I pray that it births a hunger in your heart to study more on this and to know the promises of God for your protection.

But Psalms chapter 91 verse 1: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. The first thing I showed you last week was that the word dwelleth is a continuation. It’s not a one-time prayer, but it’s a prayer over and over and over. That means our daily relationship with the Lord. It’s a continuation. It’s not a one-time prayer. It’s a continuation. And then I showed you the secret place. So he who dwelleth – continually – in the secret place, the presence of the most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

And then I showed you how Lot’s family, Lot and his family, were protected because of the relationship Abraham had with God. And then I went through how to protect yourself by association. Stay away from the wrong crowd. Stay away from the wrong people. Do not allow them to influence you into their miserable life, into their filth, into their life of sin. For we are a people who go after righteousness. Even in all our failures and all our mistakes, we continue to live and desire righteousness and holiness to please God and please God only. It’s not to please men or please anyone else, but God only.  And I showed you in Ecclesiastes 9 chapter verse 18, we are to be careful who you associate with, because they could destroy your Christian life. And you can also find that in Proverbs 22 verse 24 and 25 and Romans 16 verse 17 and 18. And I talked about all that last week on last week’s program. So if you did not hear that, I would go back to that first.

Stay Protected By Staying In the Secret Place

Stay Protected By Staying In the Secret Place

Now I want to continue on protecting your life by association. Ephesians 5 verse 11. That’s Ephesians chapter 5 verse 11 declares this to us: And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Reprove them.  So, we as God’s people have to protect our association. And the Bible has so much to say about this. And of course I’m not going to have time to go through all of it, but I do want to show you a lot of it so you can know the promises of God for your life and how to stay protected.

One, stay in the presence of Jesus. Two, protect your association. Look at 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 12. Look at this. The Bible is amazing. It tells you how to protect yourself. Verse 12: And we beseech you, brethren, to know them, which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you. So you must know them who you associate with. You must know their spirit. If you don’t you can get in trouble because, I’m going to show you here in a second, but you have to protect your Christian life. You have to protect your association. Don’t just be an open door for anyone and everyone. No. Protect your life. Don’t allow demons in your life. Don’t allow demons around your family if you can help it. And if they do get around them, begin to pray and get them out of there in Jesus name.

Now 1 John chapter 4. Look at this. Look at this. Look at what the word of God tells us. That’s 1 John chapter 4 verse 1: Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. So now today everybody calls everybody a false prophet. Everybody’s a false prophet because of doctrine. We don’t agree with that, so they are a false prophet. They’re a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Half these people don’t even know what wolf in sheep clothing means. Matthew 23 teaches us what a wolf in sheep’s clothing is; and it’s those who argue and debate over the word, who divide, who set traps for other believers and ministers.

So, we have to be careful with associating with these religious hypocrites because they just go around, they call everybody names and divide the church. So, who you allow into your life, who you allow into your circle if I may add, can influence you one way or the other. Remember this, very important to remember. The Holy Spirit will send a person into your life when He wants to bless you, and satan will send a person into your life when he wants to destroy you. So, you have to, according to 1 John 4 verse 1, test and try the spirits. And we must know them who labor among us. We must know them. We can’t just be an open door to anything and everyone because we’re trying to be nice. Forget nice. Be bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1 declares: the righteous are bold as a lion. You have to put up a guard. And you have to be careful who you associate with, who you allow in your life, because they will destroy you if they are sent by satan.

The second key to protecting your Christian walk is stay in your calling. We are commanded to know God’s perfect will for our lives. That’s Ephesians 5 verse 17. Ephesians 5 verse 17. There are three ways you will find God’s perfect will. There’s three ways. One, fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Why do I say that? Because the Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 13 declares that the Holy Spirit is the one who guides us. He’s the one that guides us. Romans 8:14 says for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the children of God. So who are you being led by? You have to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. And if you don’t know if you have that, begin to ask the Lord for that. As you seek Him, as you seek Him say, “Lord, make me sensitive to your Spirit” and He will. He will. That’s one, fellowship with the Holy Spirit. And as you do He’ll begin to guide you. John tells us He’ll begin to show you things to come for your life. He’ll begin to reveal things to you for your life and then you get in that perfect will.

The Secret Place Is A Place of Safety From Your Enemy

The presence of Jesus Is A Place of Safety From Your Enemy

Now number two, by reading the word of God. Listen, we must fill our life with God’s word. We must fill our life with God’s word. Satan knows the Bible very well. That’s why he fought Jesus. You remember? And what did he fight him with? He fought Him with the word. And Jesus in return fought him with the word and destroyed him, his works with the word, and overcome him with the word. And you and I will have to fight Satan with the word. We must fill our life with His word. It is not an option. You have to fill your life with His word. And as you do you will have power to stand against his works in your life. Look at Psalms chapter 119 with me. Turn there in your Bibles with me. That’s Psalms 119 verse 105. Look at this. Thy word is a lamp onto my feet, and a light unto my path. As you begin to fill your life with God’s word.

Now remember first you’re building this relationship, okay? You’re spending time in His presence. Number one. That’s number one. Those who just fill their life with the word, those who just study the word and ignore the presence of Jesus, get into legalism, get into religious garbage. They become religious. You have to have the presence of the Lord in your life. It’s not just a mental thing. You have to know Him. You have to know His presence. And as you do and as you begin to fill your life with His word, now you have a beautiful balance of His presence and His word in your life and now there’s power. Now you have power over Satan. Now you have authority over Satan in Jesus name. Because the Bible declares the letter killeth, but the Spirit gives life. So it’s not just knowing the word. You must know the presence of Jesus. So to find the will of God, first, you fellowship with the Holy Spirit for He’s the one that leads us. He’s the one that guides us. Two, by studying the word, by filling your life with His word. Psalms 119:105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet. In other words that word, as you begin to fill your heart with God’s word, your path becomes clear. Your path becomes lit up with God’s power and presence, because now you know where to go because you’re filling your life with His word.

Number three, prayer. As we have already talked about much, the presence of Jesus is so important. And in prayer as you begin to seek Him and as you begin to know His presence, He will begin to reveal His word to you, His plans for you, His purpose for your life. And that’s how you find it. We are commanded not only to find God’s perfect will, but we are commanded to abide in His perfect will. So once you find that perfect will, stay in it. Don’t get out of it. Stay in His perfect will. You could study 1 Corinthians chapter 7 verse 20 through 24. It will teach you about that. Just write that down. Study that on your own time. Very important. Once you find His will, stay in it. If we walk out of God’s perfect will for our life, sin will enter. Sin will take hold of your life, outside of God’s perfect will. In other words, bondage. Bondage. No longer will you be living in liberty, but now you’ll live in bondage because you’re outside of God’s will. 2 Chronicles chapter 26 verse 16 through 20 teaches us that. Very important. Stay in God’s perfect will once you find it. Don’t get out of it. Because if you get out of it, sin will overtake your life. That’s what the Bible teaches.

The Secret to The Christian Life Is Learning How To Protect It

The Secret to The Christian Life Is Learning How To Protect It

The third key, the third key to protecting your Christian life is stay away from complaining and murmuring. Complaining opens the doors to satan to attack your life, and I will show you that in a minute. But first, the three doors that you have to protect are: One, association. Do not open the wrong door to the wrong people. Two, stay in your calling. We must stay in our calling. It’s very important. Find where God has called you and stay there. Don’t get out of it. Now three, complaining. This can open doors for Satan in your life. Look at 1 Corinthians chapter 10 and let me show you this. 1 Corinthians chapter 10. I’m going to start with verse 5.

1 Corinthians chapter 10 verse 5: But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents… which represent demons today… Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer… satan … Now all these things happened unto them for examples: … for us … and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

So, we see that murmuring and complaining opens the doors for satan to attack our life. Murmuring and complaining can bring judgment from God. You can find that in Psalms 106 verse 24 through 27.  We cannot murmur and complain even in the hard times. We have to trust. We are a people of faith. We trust God will come through for us, whatever we’re going through, whatever we’re facing. Remember that death and life are in the power of the tongue according to Proverbs 18 verse 21. So be careful what you say. It’s very, very important that you be filled with praise and you trust the Lord that He’ll get you through whatever you are facing today. Complaining does nothing but take you backwards. Complaining will continue that whole process of the wilderness again. So, what do we think about when murmuring and complaining? What do we think about when it wants to fill your hearts? Well, look at Philippians 4. So instead of murmuring, instead of complaining, we’re going to do what Philippians chapter 4 says.

Philippians chapter 4 starting with 8, verse 8:  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these … Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. So, any time you begin to want to murmur and complain because of what you’re going through, remember this. Philippians chapter 4 verse 8. Whatsoever things are true. Think of those. Whatsoever things are honest. Think of that. And fill your mind with the positive word of God. Fill your life, because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So, if you’re filling your life with God’s word instead of complaining coming out, now you’re going to be able to declare God’s promises.

Those Who Live In the Secret Place of God Will Defeat Bondage

Those Who Live In God's presence Will Defeat Bondage

Now you’re going to declare God’s word, and satan will be bound when you do. That is His promise, people.  I hope you enjoyed this teaching on the secret place.

Now I pray in Jesus name, whatever you’re facing today I pray that the Lord will touch you, will deliver you and set you free. And I bind every spirit of infirmity, every spirit of bondage out of your life, in Jesus name.

People, we must live in liberty. We must find that place of liberty. If you are in bondage today, do not just accept it. Fight it. Fight that sin, that bondage that holds you. Fill your life with God’s word because where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. It’s not the Christian life to live in bondage. It’s not God’s will for you to live in bondage, but freedom and liberty. That’s His word.

And today I have showed you with this teaching on a secret place, how to live in that place of victory, how to live in that place of protection from Satan’s plans. Because, believe me, he’s looking for a door to get into your life and destroy you. Do not allow him. Pick up your word of God. Pick up that sword, which is the word of God, and fight him and fight him until you have the victory. Don’t ever give up. Don’t ever give in. But believe that Jesus will make a way. Where there seem to be no way the Lord will make a way for you. All right. I will talk to you on the next week’s program.
